Creative Inquiry Labs Mission: Cultivate creative, inquiry, and mindfulness practices
to support transformational learning and healing.
Tavis Linsin, founding director of Creative Inquiry Labs, is an educator, education researcher, poet, and guitarist. He has served as a faculty member in education at Boston University and Endicott College where he mentored undergraduate and graduate students in education and the arts. Prior to higher education, Linsin taught in K-12 and community settings. His research focuses on supporting creative and mindful learning, and he is particularly interested in supporting the creative self-expression of low-income or otherwise marginalized learners. He received his PhD in education—with a focus in creativity and mixed methods research—from the University of Washington in Seattle. Linsin also holds a master’s degree in arts in education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a bachelor of music degree from Berklee College of Music. He is a meditation practitioner in the Plum Village tradition founded by Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. His full CV can be found here.
